Fall Concert “Transformations”

November 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Works originally composed for piano are transformed in these full orchestral arrangements, breathing new life into these compositions for audiences to enjoy. Probably the most famous of these is Ravel’s transcription of Pictures at an Exhibition, composed for piano by Mussorgsky in 1874, yet most audiences are more familiar with Ravel’s 1922 adaptation for orchestra. Several other smaller works round out this fascinating Fall Concert performance.

Dr. Joseph Gehring, music director
Dr. Robert Frazier, assistant conductor
