Journey through music of passion, drama, and Romantic expression. Aram Khachaturian’s thrilling Spartacus Suite No. 2 brings the heroic world of ancient Rome vividly to life, followed by Anton Rubinstein’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 4, performed by pianist Thomas Croke. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s beloved Symphony No. 3, inspired by the composer’s travels through Scotland and filled with atmospheric landscapes, stirring melodies, and unforgettable orchestral color.
